Ingredients

3 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
¼ cup granulated sugar
2 ¼ teaspoons instant yeast
½ teaspoon salt
¾ cup milk
¼ cup unsalted butter melted
1 large egg

For the Filling
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
For the Cream Cheese Frosting
    • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
    • ¼ cup unsalted butter softened
    • 1 cup powdered sugar
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    • Instructions
      1. Combine flour, granulated sugar, yeast, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Set aside.
      2. In a small saucepan, heat the milk until it reaches around 110°F (43°C). Remove from heat and add melted butter and egg. Stir well.
      3. Gradually pour the milk mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir until the dough comes together.
      4. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
      5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
      6. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish.
      7. Roll out the dough into a large rectangle, about ¼ inch thick.
      8. Spread softened butter over the dough. Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon evenly over the butter.
      9. Starting from the long side, tightly roll the dough into a log. Cut into 12 equal-sized rolls.
      10. Cover the rolls in the greased baking dish with a kitchen towel. Allow them to rise for an additional 30 minutes.
      11. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
      12. While the rolls are baking, prepare the cream cheese frosting. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
      13. Remove the rolls from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Spread the cream cheese frosting generously over the warm rolls.
      14. Serve the cinnamon rolls warm and enjoy the delicious homemade bakery goodness!
